jPixDb is a unique photo
album program. It is not
just another file manager that lets you manipulate image files and
folders and do searches on image tags. With jPixDb you can:
- Save, display, and edit many items for each
photo, including
place, town, region, country, topic, persons or groups shown, camera,
film, technique, photographer, year, uncertainty in year, month, day,
rating, id, and notes
- Define albums easily by selecting parameters to
match, so that a
photo can be in any number of albums, managing files and folders is
not necessary, and photos can be easily moved among albums
- Build configurable websites for individual or
multiple albums, and
upload websites to a web server by FTP. Click here for a sample website.
- Make a CD or DVD that contains albums and a
built-in program for
viewing them. CD or DVD users do not need a separate image viewer
program to view albums; the viewer program is included on the CD or
DVD.
- Restore albums, both images and photo
information, from a viewer
CD or DVD
- Edit a photo using your image editor program,
e.g., Photoshop, by
thumbnail menu option selection, without leaving jPixDb
- Add tags to images, such as for persons,
places, and things, and
turn tag display on and off
- View a slideshow of an album, with pause,
resume, changeable timing,
and image tags displayed or not
- Print individual photos or an album, with
information for each photo
- Use wildcards for albums
- Group albums by category
- Zoom an image in and out and scroll across a
zoomed image
- Set preferences for many items such as font
size, thumbnail size,
image border, and colors
- Configure the user interface using individual
panels that can be
selectively displayed
- Easily convert from another photo album
program, using the "add
photos" function to add information to multiple photos at a time
